We are seeking a proactive, collaborative and detail oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales floor operations, assisting with inventory/administrative projects, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding the values of The Piping Plover. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, a basic+ understanding of cannabis and an ongoing desire to learn.
Responsibilities Include:
- Customer Service – Our business model is based on exceptional customer service!
- Keeping the Sales Floor organized – Including cannabis products, accessories & apparel
- Updating menus / menu boards as necessary
- Maintaining Apparel Organization & Inventory
- Day to day Inventory Management
- Intaking deliveries as needed
- Leading Opening & Closing Procedures
- Maintaining accuracy of our online menus – web development experience is not expected, but experience editing web platforms is a bonus
- Representing The Piping Plover at community events
- Identifying needs around the shop and coordinating solutions with management
- Social Media & Marketing – Drafting content & Monitoring social media.
Requirements:
- Customer service experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong background in cash handling and experience operating a cash register
- Experience managing inventory
- A willingness to ask for help – we do not expect anyone to know everything, but we do expect you to know the limits to your knowledge and be comfortable asking for help
- Proven ability to stay on task with disruptions and effectively prioritize tasks
- A desire to learn – about cannabis, our business model, our customers, etc.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and store atmosphere through varied seasons
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Google Suite, point of sale systems
**Bonus but not required** Experience with Shopify & WordPress
* Must be 21+, qualified to work in the USA, and willing to undergo background check (Per MA State guidelines for Cannabis Entities)
